Our goal with Black Birch was to build a space that was cozy and vibey and inspiring. The idea behind having just a single room was to embrace the togetherness of making music with other humans, hearing sound move through air and space, while light and trees come through the windows.

Christopher and Jeremy McDonald have been making and recording music together since they were teenagers in Pittsburgh, but this is their first studio partnership. Previously, Jeremy was a co-operator at Mason Jar Music in Brooklyn.
